Frank Black talks new Pixies album

NME.com reports Frank Black has said that The Pixies will start work in January on a new album. He told the British website that the band has booked time in the studio to begin rehearsing, "if we can get Kim (Deal, the Pixies bass player) to come out of her house".

He stated that since the band has enjoyed touring after their reunion, recording a new album will keep them "vital".

The Pixies have a "best of" in the works for early next year. Black is currently touring in support of his new solo effort, "Fastman Raiderman".
